Tools for various methods of statistical recreation.jpg

The Society for the Advancement of Recreational Statistics is a group devoted to interactive fiction in the context of game constraints: a gaming group. We are oriented toward the so called "tabletop" format and meet in Central Pennsylvania. We do not play any particular system and several of our members are game design enthusiasts, so some of our runs use obscure or custom mechanics.

The group is a semi-closed group at this time until we settle into a groove. It's a new group, and we're still working stuff out.

Munchkin is is a card game spoof of those annoying players who, through inexperience or continuing ignorance, insist on playing roleplaying games as if they were competitive, trying to "win" or "get the most toys" rather than creating a neat and fun story.

Modified Marvel, Gargoyles: the Vigil and a playtest game are on the calendar for August/September. A potential Promethian game in the future? Eh? Eh?
